All SDE delivery drivers have passed their Driver CPC training and as part of it have completed a Safe Urban Driving course.

Safe Urban Driving (SUD) focuses on reducing the risk to vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians, and is essential training for all commercial drivers operating HGVs and Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) regularly in the urban environment.

In addition to driver training we have undertaken a program of upgrades to our delivery vehicles to make them safer and comply with the latest guidelines including fitting of class six front mirrors, under chassis safety bars and warning signs to the rear and sides.

All of our 8 delivery ‎vehicles are fitted with satellite navigation and guidance equipment. This not only lets the driver know the best route to his next drop, it also allows the transport office to monitor where the vehicle is, thus giving real time information to our customers on where their materials are and when they can expect to receive them. In addition to this we get up to the minute traffic reports that enable us to avoid hot spots, keep our fleet moving and making our transport more effective, efficient and environmentally friendly.
